PONCE INLET, FL (2/5/00) - Bert Emick, President of the All Star Circuit of Champions, announced today an impressive list of point fund and contingency sponsors to support the All Star Circuit of Champions Sprint Car series 2000 Tour. Their contributions of cash and product awards will bring the total prizes awarded to All Star competitors to over $2 million. Four corporate sponsors will make major contributions to the All Star series this season. They include TW Metals as the newest corporate sponsor, with United Expressline once again supporting the All Stars as they have since 1993. Commercial Truck and Trailer will lend their support for the sixth year and the General Motors Corporation's Powertrain Group will again award the All Star pace truck to the champion car owner at seasons' end. United Expressline will remain as the B Main event sponsor, with United Expressline, Southwest Expressline, Southwest Glass and United Specialties as heat race sponsors. Commercial Truck and Trailer will remain as the Dash sponsor, while ButlerBuilt Motorsports Equipment is still on as the "ButlerBuilt Hot Seat" pole position sponsor. Georgia Marketing and Promotions returns as the C Main sponsor with KSE Racing Products making the Rookie-Of-The-Year award possible. Returning as the Crew Chief Of The Year sponsor is the Outerwears Company. Tire company support comes from Competition Tire West, Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co., Competition Tire West, Race Tire America, American Race Tires distributed by Dayton Enterprises Inc. and Hoosier Racing Tires. All Pro Heads, Bailey Racing Products, Brodix Cylinder Heads, C&R Racing, Donovan Engineering, Eagle Chassis, Engler Machine and Tool, Fisher Performance, Fuel Safe, Gaerte Engines, GM Performance Parts, Hank's Performance Products, Intercomp Scales, J&J Auto Racing, Kear's Speed Shop, Lunati Cams/Holley, NBC Steering, Outerwears Company, PRO-shocks, Rodeck Aluminum Blocks, Royal Publishing, Schoenfeld Headers and Team Simpson Racing comprise the balance of the 2000 point fund and contingency sponsor list.
