Ward back in victory lane: Beeson nails first.

Despite eight caution flags and three red-flag periods in the race, Memphis racer Mike Ward was able to hold off all challengers to earn the win in the KFVS 12 Winged Sprint car feature.

After three attempts to start the feature event, which include two red flags Ward took the lead at the drop of the green flag. Ward held onto the lead with Daron Clayton of Sikeston in hot pursuit of the leader. Lee Dunn, Steve Short and Robbie Standridge were behind the pair fighting for the next three positions.

Clayton passed Ward in the early stages of the race only to have a caution flag fly, which negated the pass. Scoring positions falls back to the last completed lap and Clayton had not held onto the lead for a complete lap before the caution waved.

When the race restarted once again Ward jumped out to the advantage with Clayton being in the catbert seat facing stiff challenges from Dunn and Standridge.

Dunn found the fastest grove on the track and moved around Clayton on the tenth circuit. Ward continued his dominating performance moving out to 10-car length advantage over Dunn.

In the final laps Dunn didn't pose a threat to take the win away from Ward. Dunn held onto second with Standridge making the move around Clayton on the final circuit to finish third. Clayton held the fourth position with Jeff Buckner moving up from his 14th starting position to finish fifth.

The Pure Street feature found a pair of drivers each looking for their first career feature wins at Auto Tire and Parts Racepark. Danny Hampton and Jeff Beeson fought throughout the fifteen-lap feature event, which was slowed by only one caution.

Hampton took the lead at the drop of the green with Beeson following behind. Beeson worked on the leader for 10 laps before making the pass for the lead on the 11th circuit.

The Benton racer held onto the lead for the final four laps of the feature event to take home the win. Hampton settled for second for the third time, in the last three races.

Beeson's win was his first career checkered flag in his six year career.

Jason Mueller came from the back of the pack to finish in third just behind Beeson and Hampton. Mueller was eighth on the third lap and was able to work his way through the field to finish just ahead of Derek Despain and Patrick Naeger.

Jeff Parmer scored the win in the highly contested Miller Lite Open-Wheel Modified feature event which found four drivers vying for the win exciting the final turn.

Parmer chased Larry Hull for three laps before making the pass on the leader on the fourth circuit. Hull fell back to second and made strong late race challenges for the lead but couldn't make a return pass. Hull finished the night in the second position.

Malden driver Shawn Haynes battled his way through the field moving into the top-five on the third lap and eventually moving up to third, were he would finish. After an early race accident, Chris Hall was able to rebound to make a strong bid for the top-three but would be held off by Haynes on the final lap to finish fourth. Ben Gerdes secured a strong run by crossing the checkered flag in fifth.

Victory lane in the Motorsports Unlimited Cruiser feature found Jason Gaurdian and Daniel Hancock repeating the dominating performance they put on last week. The Jonesboro, Il pair picked up their second feature win on the year holding off Mark Henry and Jason Owens for the second week in-a-row.

Paul VanPool and Brian Hahs started the feature in the third position and finished in the same spot just ahead of Chris and Lisa Scheffer with Josh Southard and Shawn Koening finishing fifth.
