TULSA, Okla. (November 5, 2003) 0x2022 Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores will return as the sponsor of Thursday night's Thunder at the Bowl qualifier at the 18th Annual O'Reilly Chili Bowl Nationals at Tulsa Expo Raceway on January 8.
The 18th running of the O'Reilly Chili Bowl Nationals, which will attract numerous championship-caliber drivers from various forms of racing, including defending NASCAR Winston Cup champion Tony Stewart, will take place on January 7-10.
"Love's has been a sponsor of the Chili Bowl Midget Nationals for two years," commented Jenny Love Meyer, Public Relations Director of Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores. "We are proud to be involved with this nationwide event that draws great competitors from different categories of motorsports. It is a unique opportunity for us to promote ourselves to people who are important to our business," Meyer concluded.
Founded in 1964, Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores has grown to more than 150 locations across the United States, each offering a vast array of amenities and services to meet the food, fueling and convenience needs of travelers.
Last year, former Chili Bowl champion Scott Hatton topped a field of 67 cars in the Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores Thursday night Thunder at the Bowl qualifying feature.
The O'Reilly Chili Bowl Nationals is held inside the 500,000 square foot Tulsa Expo Center, one of the largest such buildings without any center supports. The 1/4 race track, 125,000 square foot Fan/Trade Show, and pits for over 200 race teams with their transporters, all inside, results in a very fan friendly environment.
