Brown Has rough night with the Devil

3/18/2005 - (Mesquite, TX) Tonight it was the devil that had the last laugh as Brian struggled with the track conditions all night long. The track was extremely wet and tacky which led to a one groove raceway that did not yield much passing. Top dogs in the ASCS such as Gary Wright and Travis Rilat struggled heavily as well.

Brian started the by drawing a high number which started him last in the 1st heat. With tacky track conditions Brian advanced the HostIowa.net/Ditzfield Transfer/Michael Ross Foundation/Ostrich Engines/Yeager Harley Davidson/Maxim Chassis one position to finish 8th and relegating him to 12th starting position in the 2nd B main. Brian's luck did not fare much better as an oil leak stopped the evening short.

"The track was very heavy tonight." said Brown, "When you start in the back on a track such as this your behind the 8 ball all night long. It was not a very exciting night for the fans as we could not pass. It was simply follow the leader. Tim, Gina and Terry gave me a great car, we were fast but so was everyone else."

"The track will be better tonight and I think you will see some passing" he continued. "Tonight is the big money so we just have to get after it."
