Stenhouse Jr. ready to look the Devil in the eye!

(Olive Branch, MS March 15th) Young fast Phnom Ricky Stenhouse Jr. makes his first ever appearance at the Devil's Bowl speedway for this years 32nd Annual Devil's Bowl Winter Nationals. The young racer is hoping his runs at Volusia do not carry over this weekend. Some bad luck in Ricky's attempts with the Outlaws and All Stars led the youngster to being a spectator sooner than he wanted. The team led by Ricky's dad Rick Stenhouse Sr. has spent their time since returning home getting their Fast Effects/Krosstown Cleaners/Lomax/Truckmarket/Musrat Designs/Dynotech Racing Engines 40R ready to go!

"I am going to have to get dad's advice on this place." said Ricky, "He and Shortman (Shorty Chambliss Ricky's car owner last year) ran this place quite a bit. He has told me things to watch out for such as the turn 4 wall which comes up very fast. This place is a bit like Tunica which we ran a few times and ran very well at. You have to be able to run all the way around wide open."

"Another guy I can talk to is Tim Crawley." he continued "He runs well here. Dad builds his motors so he should share a bit with me...LOL. I think with all the teams coming down the guys you have to look at as favorites are Gary (Wright) and Travis (Rilat) but then there are about 18 - 20 other guys that are just as strong. I am pretty confident we can have some good finishes. My mom and sister will be here so I gotta give em a good show!"
