GIBSONTON, FL - Almost looking like a full moon night of racing at East Bay Raceway Saturday night, a full program of multi-car crashes was presented. Bobby Alexander won his third late model 25-lap feature as he took the lead on the third lap and fought off four challengers to win ahead of Ken Nosbisch, Keith Nosbisch, Donnie Tanner and J.R. Austin.

Defending sprint car champion Gene Lasker hit the wall on the first lap of the outlaw sprint main that was won by Johnny Gilbertson, picking up $2150 on his biggest career night. Joe Melnick finished second ahead of Brady Alvis, Roland Johnson, Sport Allen and Steve Williams. With two special Kensington manor Dashes for Cash, the fans got double excitement. Gilbertson kept his hot streak going by winning his heat and driving away in the four lap Dash. Williams took second ahead of Brady Alvis and Gene Lasker.

The street stockers played sock it to me in their Dash as all four cars got together in the first corner. Don Gansner came out on the lucky side to win while Danny Paris got unlucky and ended fourth. Second and third went to Chad Smith and Jerry Lape. Multi-car crashes in the Street Stock feature wiped out almost half of the 24 car field with Paul Davis barely edging out Donnie Paris and Gansner to get the win. Lape finished fourth ahead of Danny Paris.

The limited sprint car feature saw Clyde Poole get his third win of the year as he topped Andy Kelly, Tim George, Rick Hall and Johnson.

The limited late model main saw 25 cars take the green with David Schmauss nabbing his third win ahead of Danny Bowman, Forrest Gough, John Bradley and Bob Peterson. The mini stock main was postponed due to curfew.
