Alain Bergeron and his team steals the show at the 2006 ESS Banquet ...

Saturday evening, November 4th, at Syracuse NY took place the 'Empire Super Sprints' Banquet as Alain Bergeron and his team received all the honors after Bergeron had a great 2006 season catching up the top position of the ESS series standing.

A very impressive record of 7 top 3, 11 top 5 et 19 top 10 have allowed Bergeron to become the very first Canadian to be Champion of the Empire Super Sprints series that was at its 23rd season.

At the Banquet, Alain Bergeron was honored for the following titles:


     2006 ESS Tour Champion
     2006 Spectro Canadian Invasion Champion
     2006 Most Improved Driver

And the evening was not ended because Hugo St-Germain, the long-time Alain Bergeron's associate was honored by his peers by receiving the title of ' Mecanic of the year'. An honor well deserved for St-Germain who contributed to the successes of the Saint Pie's driver. Hugo is beside Alain Bergeron since his debuts in ESS Sprints in 2000 and in Mini-Sprints previously.

In 2006, Alain Bergeron is in his seventh season with the very competitive series, the Empire Super Sprints ( ESS). In 2005, Bergeron finished in fifth place in the point standing and he had been champion of the ¡Gater Racing News Lap Leader Award'.

Bergeron was the first Canadian to win a Sprint Car race with the ESS in 2000. Sprint Cars are one of the most popular type of racing in the United Sates and at the end of the 2001 season, in his second year driving a Sprint Car, he had the most wins of any driver in the series with 3.

Racing with the ESS since only 6 years, Alain Bergeron is already in 18th position in the all-time winners list of the series.

Throughout this season, we will inform you of his results and

various news from Team Bergeron, while Alain will be on the road competing to the best of his abilities.

Alain Bergeron's hometown is Saint-Pie-de-Bagot and he is a former champion in Mini-Sprint and ATV, both on dirt and ice surfaces.
