Empire Super Sprints Ready to Make the First of Two Appearances at the Albany-Saratoga Speedway.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- A very important stop on the nativepoker.com Tour for the Empire Super Sprints (ESS) are the visits to the Albany-Saratoga Speedway in Malta, N.Y. With many teams in ESS from the New England area, the 1/3 mile oval becomes a "home" stop with family and friends attending.

On Friday night May 12th the first of two visits for 2006 will take place and being the second event schedule on the 36 date tour, a big field is expected to fill the pit area at the Bruce Richards promoted speedplant. The second date will be a special mid-week, June 27th visit as ESS will share the bill with the Race of Champions Tour for the big block modifieds in what is known as the "Race Fans Dream".

Last year Quebec's Alain Bergeron collected the first of two A-Main triumphs in route to a solid fifth place finish in the final point standings. Bergeron's familiar #8B will be in the pits along with local favorites John Karklin Jr., Jessica Zemken and Cory Sparks as well as the New England contingent of the Norrie Bros., Doug and Matt along with fellow Connecticut mate Russ Bennett. Teammate to Bennett is Massachusetts' Billy White and also in the field will be Vermont's Luke Eriksen and New Hampshire's Donny Sharp Jr.

Fans will also get to see Lance Yonge, Dan Kaszubinski, Doug Emery and Gordy Button as past winners at Albany-Saratoga. Throw in Jeff VanDusen, Jeff Cook, Nick Fratto, Bubby Kerrick and some 30 other winged sprinters it has the makings of a wild night of dirt track racing.

Friday night, May 12th, the Capital District will be invaded by the wild and wooly machines from the nativepoker.com Tour of the Empire Super Sprints and it will become excitement guaranteed! For more information, either log on to www.cvra.com or www.empiresupersprints.com .
