Dan Kaszubinski Wins Special Dash at Can-Am.
LaFargeville, N.Y. - With the Empire Super Sprint Tour 2000 at the Brockville Ontario Speedway on Friday and the Cornwall Motor Speedway on Sunday, the Thurston family invited six of the best from ESS to race in a special dash for cash Saturday night at the Can-Am Speedway.
Winning the five lap, $300 to win event was Syracuse, N.Y.'s Dan Kaszubinski. Taking the lead at the drop of the green flag from his outside pole starting spot, Kaszubinski lead all five laps to best local favorite Rick Wilson for the triumph. Wilson came from sixth to second in two laps but just fell short in catching the high flying Kaszubinski for the victory. Wilson collected $200 for second followed by Steve Dow, Bill Coffey, Kris Dow and Scott Holcomb.
Fans are reminded that the best from "America's Race Cars" will invade Can-Am on Thursday night, June 22nd.
