SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- It's the longest grind of the Empire Super Sprint (ESS) Tour 2002. Four nights, four race tracks and lots of excitement. It all starts with the traditional Thursday night visit to the Can-Am Motorsports Park on June 20th and ends Sunday night at the Cornwall Motor Speedway on June 23. Throw in visits to the Autodromes in Quebec, Granby and Drummond and you have four consecutive nights of winged sprint car action.

When you talk about Can-Am, the first ESS driver that comes to mind is Dan Kaszubinski. The Syracuse, N.Y. star has won the last three June visits to the fast half-mile in LaFargeville, N.Y. Kaszubinski will again have his familiar red #20 in the field and he will be challenge by the likes of Mike Woodring, a three-time winner at Can-Am, and former small block champion Rick Wilson.

The next night it's off to Granby, Quebec and to Autodrome Granby. All in ESS hope that 2002 will bring good luck to the Friday night home to dirt track racing in the French speaking province. Both visits to Granby last season fell to mother nature. Some of the favorites on this night will be Woodring, who has five wins at the half-mile, along with Lance Yonge and Mike Stelter who has two wins each.

Autodrome Drummond is the oldest running dirt track in Quebec which is located just north of Montreal. Local favorite Alain Bergeron thrilled his hometown crowd with a victory in ESS' only visit to Drummond. Bergeron will again be cheered on by a legion of his fans in hopes for a repeat.

The final night of the long weekend will bring "America's Race Cars" back to Ontario and the fast quarter-mile Cornwall Motor Speedway. The only point show that goes 25 laps is at Ron Morin's speed plant as 11 second laps are the norm. Cornwall has a knack for producing first time winners as Gary Drum, Dan DeCracker, Chris Shuttleworth, Bergeron and last year 64 year old George Ely all recorded their first ever ESS wins here. Will it be another new face??? ESS stars such as Bubby Kerrick, Jeff VanDusen, Erin Crocker and Tim Zimbardi are regulars on the tour looking for their first trip to victory lane.

Sprint fans, let's pack your bags and take a vacation winged warrior style. Its four great nights to see all the ESS cars and stars. Can-Am, Granby, Drummond and Cornwall--It will be excitement guaranteed!!!
