Empire Super Sprints to Make First Ever Appearance at South Buxton Raceway.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- On Saturday evening, June 24th a little slice of history will be added to the world of the Empire Super Sprints (ESS). For the first time in the 23 year history of the 360 sprint car sanctioning body sponsored by nativepoker.com, the stars and cars will make a visit to South Buxton, Ontario and the South Buxton Raceway.

Rich in sprint car tradition, the track known as Canada's fastest 3/8ths mile oval celebrating it's 35th season will play host to one of the leading sprint car organizations. ESS visits more than a dozen tracks in the United States and Canada each year, but for this late June night it will mark the first time ever in this Western, Ontario area. With the some of the very best from "America's Race Cars" visiting the Ohsweken Speedway the night prior, it will provide an exciting weekend for all Canadian sprint car fans.

South Buxton will also host the Sprints On Dirt and the Southern Ontario Sprints in 2006 making for a schedule full of sprint car appearances at the track the where United Midwestern Promoters late models and modifieds roam free. Not only has these fine organizations visited the facility over the years, but a special appearance by the All-Star Circuit of Champions in 2004 marks as one of the highlights.

The track is owned and operated by SM Freight, Inc of Blenheim, Ont. The successful transportation company continues to make improvements to the facility in bringing the dirt track to higher levels. The goal each year is to make this one of the most talked about and headline making Saturday night tracks in all of Canada.

The nativepoker.com Tour for the Empire Super Sprints will bring in top chauffeurs such as two-time and defending champion Lance Yonge, Dan Kaszubinski, Jeff VanDusen, Jeff Cook along with Canadian regulars Alain Bergeron and Steve Poirier who will make the long tow from their native Quebec. It will be a night where all will be striving to make a visit to victory lane as the first ever ESS winner at South Buxton.
