ABBOTTSTOWN, PA, 3/11/00 - Early morning rain showers, and a forecast for more throughout the day, forced Lincoln Speedway officials to cancel Saturday afternoon's, March 11th, racing program at Lincoln Speedway.

With the entire Central Pennsylvania area covered in a shroud of mist, fog and rain at 9 AM, Lincoln Speedway promoters Don & Bob Leiby and Alan Kreitzer felt that it would be unfair to ask the race teams and fans to travel to the Pigeon Hills oval for what appeared to be a sure rain-out and canceled early in the morning.

Lincoln Speedway swings back into action next Saturday afternoon, March 18th, for the first three-division show of the year - and the final afternoon race of the season. The super sprint and thundercar regulars will be joined by the popular micro-sprints in the triple open-cockpit extravaganza starting at 2 p.m. - with the pit gates opening at noon.
