ASCS Midwest Region Adds Dates at I-90 Speedway

TULSA, Okla. (April 27, 2005) -- The American Sprint Car Series Midwest Region has added another new track to the fold, as Interstate Auto Centers I-90 Speedway in Hartford, SD, has inked a pair of dates with the series.

The ASCS Midwest Region will take to the 3/8-mile, high-banked I-90 Speedway dirt oval for the first time on Friday night, August 26. The series then makes a return engagement one month later on Friday night, September 23.

The 2005 slate for the ASCS Midwest Region, in just its first year, now consist of a dozen nights of racing at six different tracks throughout Nebraska, Missouri, Iowa and South Dakota.

The series recently kicked off in grand style at Nebraska Raceway Park's I-80 Speedway, with Terry McCarl racing from 16th to top a strong 46-car field on April 15.

The next scheduled event for the ASCS Midwest Region is Friday night, May 27, at Junction Motor Speedway in McCool Junction, NE.

In addition to NRP's I-80 Speedway, Junction Motor Speedway and Interstate Auto Centers I-90 Speedway, other tracks hosting the ASCS Midwest Region in 2005 include US 36 Raceway in Cameron, MO, Valley Speedway in Grain Valley, MO, and Iowa's Knoxville Raceway during the Brodix Tournament of Champions.

In total, including the O'Reilly ASCS National Tour, the Southern Tour and the Sooner, Gulf South, Rocky Mountain and Midwest Regions, the American Sprint Car Series will sanction nearly 120 nights of racing in 2005 at more than 50 different racetracks throughout at least 15 different states.
