Lonnie Wheatley, ASCS Editor - TULSA, Okla. (December 26, 2002) - It was announced today that Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores, based in Oklahoma City, will be the presenting sponsor for the 2003 American Sprint Car Series national tour.

"After sponsoring the American Sprint Car Series Sooner Region in 2002, we are excited about being able to step up our level of involvement with one of the nation's premier touring Sprint Car series," said Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores Public Relations Director Jenny Love Meyer. "Love's involvement on the Regional level in 2002 more than met our expectations, so we're really looking forward to being a part of the national tour in 2003."

Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores will feature special promotions in conjunction with each event for fans and teams on the 2003 ASCS national trail. New web pages are being developed that will provide directions to and from each event, indicating Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores along the route and related promotional items and events.

The premier 360 Sprint Car touring series in the country, the American Sprint Car Series comes off a banner year in 2002, which featured 48 nights of racing throughout Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Mississippi, Missouri, Tennessee, Texas and Oklahoma. More than 300 drivers from throughout the nation competed in at least one ASCS nationally sanctioned event in 2002.

The 2003 schedule for the O'Reilly Auto Parts American Sprint Car Series presented by Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores, which will feature approximately 55-60 nights of racing action, will be released soon.
