Cheater's Day at Huset's Reset for This Weekend

TULSA, Okla. (September 26, 2006) -- After a soggy weekend in South Dakota, the 42nd Annual Cheater's Day Classic at Huset's Speedway for the American Sprint Car Series Northern Plains Region has been rescheduled for this weekend.

The event will go off as originally planned for this past weekend, with a full card each day offering $1,500 to win. Also, an additional $2,500 will be doled out to the top five point earners over the two days, with the top point earner collecting a $1,000 bonus.

Sunday's event features free grandstand admission, with advance tickets on sale for Saturday's event for just $10. More information on how to obtain advance tickets is available at http://www.husets-speedway.com/.

Watertown, South Dakota's Chuck Swenson will put the finishing touches on the inaugural ASCS Northern Plains Region championship over the weekend, while Lee Grosz, Eric Lutz and Curt Lund slug it out for runner-up honors in the points chase.

Saturday's racing action gets under way at 3:00 p.m., with Sunday's card firing off at 2:00 p.m.

Huset's Speedway is located in Brandon, SD, off I-90 Exit 406, then 2.5 miles south on State Road 11. For more information, contact the track at 605-582-3536 or 605-582-3819.

In its first year of action, the all-new ASCS Northern Plains Region has a full slate of 22 events at eleven different tracks throughout Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa and Wisconsin.

In its 15th year of sanctioning Sprint Car racing in the United States, the American Sprint Car Series will present approximately 180 nights of racing at nearly 100 tracks throughout 27 different states and Canada in 2006 including the National Tour and its Regional Tours (Gulf South, Mid-South, Midwest, Northern Plains, Patriot Sprint Group, Rocky Mountain, Sooner, Southern and Sprints on Dirt).
