NATIONAL PARTS PEDDLER TO SPONSOR ASCS PATRIOT HEAT RACES IN 2007
Tulsa, Okla. (January 18, 2007) - In what is shaping up to the be a historic season with the ASCS Patriot Sprints, the National Parts Peddler is back on board once again to help support Sprint Car racing in the Northeast.
For the second year in a row now, the National Parts Peddler Newspaper will sponsor the ASCS Patriots. Last year, NPP sponsored the Hard Charger of the Night, but 2007 will see the Parts Peddler sponsoring the heat races for each of the 20 full-point races.
The winner of each ASCS Patriot Heat Race in 2007 will receive $25 cash from National Parts Peddler, a bonus to help out those that win, what should shape up to be, some very exciting heat races.
With the Patriots conforming to the ASCS passing points system, winning a heat was already paramount; now with cash on top as well, it will make these 8-lap segments downright thrilling!
The ASCS Patriots have grown over the last five years with the help of sponsors like the National Parts Peddler, something that NPP Owner Corky Stockham has noticed with Sprint Car racing over the years.
"It's amazing to think back to 20 years ago, when modifieds were king around (the Northeast) and then realize what it has grown into today," noted Stockham. "I think it's important to keep it growing though."
For the last two years now, the ASCS Patriots have had a booth at the popular National Parts Peddler Trade Show and Auction in Syracuse, NY. This last November, this event, primarily based around modifieds, had plenty of Sprint Car feel to it.
"It was amazing to see the interest Sprint Cars now have in this area," added Stockham. "We realize that an organization like the ASCS Patriots is just as good as any other around here and it's important to work with them."
Stockham also noted that there has been plenty of interest by sprint car vendors and race teams alike for the 12th Annual National Parts Peddler Winter Swap Meet, taking place January 27 at the Cargill Exhibit Center at the New York State Faigrounds in Syracuse. This event will be a great way for ASCS Patriot teams to stock up for the upcoming season to thrill the fans of the Northeast.
