After its show fell victim to rain on June 16, the Port Royal Speedway returns to action on June 23 with a three-division program of Doorways Unlimited KARS Sprints, late models and pro stocks, getting underway at 7 p.m. Originally scheduled for the program, the Legend Cars will not be in action.
KARS makes its first of three appearances at the Juniata County oval this season on June 23. With only two of four KARS scheduled events having been completed to date, feature wins belong to Carlisle's Jake Radabaugh and New Berlinville's Kevin Drury. Radabaugh won the circuits season opener at Silver Spring Speedway on May 5 while Drury picked up the win on June 16 at Thunder Valley Speedway.
Port Royal swings back into action on June 30 with its leg of the 11th Annual CARQUEST Autoparts Pennsylvania Sprint Car Speed Week series, paying $5,000 to the winner of the 30-lap main event. An autograph session with speed week active champions Fred Rahmer, Lance Dewease and Keith Kauffman gets underway behind the new grandstand at 5:15.
