SNYDER WINS FIRST OF SEASON IN 358 SPRINTS; TREVITZ TAKES CHECKERS IN LATE MODEL CHAMPIONSHIP

SELINSGROVE, Pa. -- Nate Snyder of Halifax returned to Selinsgrove Speedway Saturday night in full force and won the 25-lap sprint car feature following engine failure the previous week

For Snyder, at the wheel of the Highland's Tire Service/H&H Chevrolet No. 3, the win marked the fifth of his career at the Snyder County track.

Ken Trevitz of Winfield returned to Selinsgrove's Victory Lane in the 30-lap Spring Championship for late models. Trevitz's second career late model win at the track was worth $2,000.

Jim Somers of Minersville was awarded the win in the 15-lap pro stock feature when Peanut Heintzelman's #99 was disqualified following a post-race technical inspection.

Doug Minium of Middleburg won his first career race in the 12-lap roadrunner main event.

Selinsgrove Speedway will present a four division show of sprint cars, late models, pro stocks and roadrunners this Saturday, April 23 at 7 p.m. Track gates will open at 5 p.m. The night's racing program will be sponsored by Advanced Concrete Systems of Middleburg.
