SELINSGROVE, Pa. -- The 23rd annual Housing Products, Inc. Jack Gunn Memorial for sprint cars at Selinsgrove Speedway was postponed by rain on Saturday. Track officials will announce a rain date for the event this coming week.

The cancellation was announced at 10 a.m. this morning, and marked the second of the 2003 season at Selinsgrove Speedway.

Selinsgrove Speedway will present the 2nd annual Ink Spot Printing Pro Stock 20 on Saturday, May 31 at 7 p.m. Joining the pro stocks will be the Cindy Rowe Paintless Dent Repair sprint cars, MAPCO Machine Shop late models and roadrunners.

The roadrunner division will also run a make up event from May 17. Gates will open at 5 p.m. Race Time is 7 p.m.

The Pro Stock 20 will pay $1,000 to win. Gerald Kratzer of Selinsgrove is the defending winner of the championship event for the stock car division. In last year's race, Kratzer wired the field for the victory but not without several serious challenges from Kyle Bachman of Selinsgrove.

Kratzer was victorious by just .50 of a second over Bachman in the 2002 event. Troy Miller, Gary Kerstetter and Matt Drum rounded out the top five.

This year's event will be sponsored by Ink Spot Printing, located on Park Road in Selinsgrove. Ink Spot Printing produces a variety of printing specialties for personal and business use, including the popular photo shirts and hats.

The go kart and micro sprint car racing program at Selinsgrove Raceway Park on Friday night was also rained out.
