ASCS SPRINTS ON DIRT SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED

TULSA, Okla. (January 20, 2006)- The 2006 schedule for the Engine Pro American Sprint Car Series Sprints on Dirt presented by Total Seal was released from the series' Tulsa, OK, office today.

Running under the ASCS banner for the first time in 2006, the SOD schedule consists of 31 nights of racing at 16 different tracks throughout Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Ontario. The series, along with each of the other ASCS Regions and ASCS National Tour, will also take part in the Eighth Annual Brodix Tournament of Champions at Knoxville Raceway on August 6.

The ASCS Sprints on Dirt season kicks off May 6 at Crystal Motor Speedway in Crystal, MI, with the final points race of the 2006 season slated for September 9 at Hartford Speedway Park in Hartford, MI.

May 12 -- Hartford Speedway Park (Hartford, MI)

May 13 -- Butler Motor Speedway (Quincy, MI)

May 20 -- Fremont Speedway (Fremont, OH)

May 26 -- Limaland Motorsports Park (Lima, OH) - $2,500 to win

May 27 -- South Buxton International Raceway (Merlin, Ont.)

June 2 -- I-96 Speedway (Lake Odessa, MI)

June 3 -- Butler Motor Speedway (Quincy, MI)

June 9 -- Winston Motor Speedway (Rothbury, MI)

June 10 -- Tri-City Motor Speedway (Auburn, MI)

June 17 -- Merritt Speedway (Merritt, MI)

June 24 -- Thunderbird Raceway (Muskegon, MI)

June 30 -- Hartford Speedway Park (Hartford, MI)

July 1 -- Crown Point Motor Speedway (Crown Point, IN)

July 7 -- I-96 Speedway (Lake Odessa, MI)

July 8 -- Owendale Speedway (Owendale, MI)

July 15 -- Crystal Motor Speedway (Crystal, MI)

July 21 -- Cherry Speedway (Fife Lake, MI)

July 22 -- Merritt Speedway (Merritt, MI)

August 6 -- Knoxville Raceway -- Brodix Tournament of Champions (Knoxville, IA)

August 10 -- Shiawassee County Fairgrounds (Corunna, MI)

August 11 -- Merritt Speedway (Merritt, MI)

August 17 -- Hartford Speedway Park (Hartford, MI) -- with ASCS National Tour, no SOD points

August 18 -- I-96 Speedway (Lake Odessa, MI) - with ASCS National Tour, no SOD points

August 19 -- I-96 Speedway (Lake Odessa, MI) - with ASCS National Tour, no SOD points

August 25 -- Ohsweken Speedway (Ohsweken, ONT)

August 26 -- Owendale Speedway (Owendale, MI)

September 1 -- Winston Motor Speedway (Rothbury, MI)

September 2 -- Crystal Motor Speedway (Crystal, MI)

September 9 -- Hartford Speedway Park (Hartford, MI)

September 15 -- Ohsweken Speedway (Ohsweken, ONT) -- No points

September 16 -- Ohsweken Speedway (Ohsweken, ONT) -- No points

Including ASCoT and the American Sprint Car Series Regional Tours (Gulf South, Mid-South, Midwest, Northern Plains, Rocky Mountain, Sooner, Southern, Sprints on Dirt), the American Sprint Car Series will present approximately 180 nights of racing in 2006.
