KNOXVILLE, IOWA (August 10, 2004) - Zach Chappell of Talala, Oklahoma, has taken the lead from Garry Lee Maier in the Cox Design and Metal Fabrication Southern Iowa SprintWeek points after night three at Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa on Monday. Chappell qualified for last night's ninth annual Front Row Challenge event at Osky, whereas Kansan Maier was unable to do so. However, defending "Mr. Sprint Car" titlist Shane Stewart of Bixby, Oklahoma, used a third place showing in the fan-friendly open competition event to vault to third place in this year's point standings. Following Chappell, Maier and Stewart are Australian Kerry Madsen, Missourian Brian Brown, Oklahoman Wayne Johnson, Californian Tim Kaeding, and South Dakotan Clint Garner, respectively.
