The Mouse Returns to SSP on Thursday Night

NEWBERRYTOWN, PA (April 28, 2004) - Racing returns to the Susquehanna Speedway Park on Thursday night, April 29. With a great forecast for this Thursday, April 29, SSP officials look forward to an exciting event as the 410 Sprint Cars, the Xtreme Enduro Stock Cars and the Classic Cars are featured. Kenny "The Mouse" Jacobs will be in action as well in the #22 410 Sprint Car owned by Jim and Sandy Kline from Grantville, PA on Thursday.

Handicapping begins as well for the 410 Sprint Cars which means the top finishers from last week start near the middle to back of the starting lineup. Also, the first event for the Xtreme Challenge begins for the Xtreme Enduro Stock Cars where the top five finishers from last week start at the rear of the feature and their purse monies will be doubled if they finish in the top five this week. The Xtreme Challenge will be ongoing throughout the 2004 season.

Gates open in the pit area at 4:00 p.m. with the grandstand gates opening at 5:00 p.m. Warmups begin at 6:30 p.m. with racing action beginning at 7:30 p.m. Race fans can expect a fast paced 2 ½ hour program each and every night (and as coined by a local reporter "Done by 10."). Grandstand ticket prices are Adults (18 & older) $10.00; Teens (13-17) $6.00; Children (6-12) $2.00; and Children (5 & under) are free. Pit pass prices have been reduced to $20.00 with a reduced price of $18.00 for all track license holders. A track license is $25.00 for the year.

Also, with the huge amount of interest for the June 10th Great American School Bus Race, SSP will be selling advance tickets at a discounted rate of $10.00 per ticket. At the gate, the general admission price will be $12.00. Ticket may be purchased at intermission during Thursday night racing events or by calling the SSP office at (717) 292-1696.

A new website for the Susquehanna Speedway Park can be found at www.sspracing.net. The Susquehanna Speedway Park is located off I-83 to exit 32, then 1.4 miles NW on SR382 to York Road, then 1.3 miles south.
