Sonny Hartley wins at Charlotte County Speedway.

The Tampa Bay Area Racing Association made their first of two visits this season to the Charlotte County Speedway. Two fast heat races were won by Rookie Scott Adema and veteran Bo Hartley. In the featue, the veterans were gonna show the "younger" guys the short way around. On the start, Sonny Hartley grabbed the lead and went flag to flag on his way to his first win of the 2002 season. Another veteran, three time TBARA Champion Wayne Reutimann finished second ahead of Shane Butler, Keith Butler and Bo Hartley rounding out the top five. Sonny, car owner Denny Hood and crew had a great Victory Lane celebration. The next TBARA Winged Sprint Series race is the Jim Haynes Memorial at Sunshine Speedway March 30.
