March 11, 2004 -- Steve Kinser moved one step closer to his 500th World of Outlaws win by scoring number 499 with a sweep of the two-day event at The Dirt Track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Kinser absolutely dominated the field at Las Vegas, winning Thursday and Friday A mains with his Scott Gerkin-prepared, Quaker State-sponsored MAXIM. Kinser led all 30 laps of Friday's A main.

"This racecar has been performing really well. I could get into one on the bottom, and get back up in front of the lapped cars," said Kinser after Friday's 30 lap win, worth $12,000. "Scott Gerkin has been doing a tremendous job, and my brother Randy helps with the motors, and these Maxim cars have been working really well. When you have a team like this, it makes things a lot easier."

Craig Dollansky's second place finish with the Scott Boyd Karavan MAXIM saw a 1-2 finish for Team MAXIM.

Kinser earned the pole position for Friday's finale dash by winning Thursday's preliminary event, a 25-lap event that paid the Bloomington, Indiana $5,000. Kinser slipped around fellow MAXIM driver Brian Paulus on a lap 24 restart to claim top honors in the 25-lap event.

Craig Dollansky (2nd) and Paulus (3rd) gave Team MAXIM the top three finishing spots in the Thursday event.

Greg Hodnett continued his early season domination of Williams Grove Speedway, winning for the second week in a row on the daylight surface. Hodnett steered the Lee Stauffer-prepped, Bob Stewart-owned Apple MAXIM to his second consecutive $3,000 win Sunday.
