TULSA, Okla. (March 30, 2006) -- Regional action for the American Sprint Car Series kicks off this weekend with the inaugural event for the ASCS Mid-South Region at Little Rock's I-30 Speedway on Saturday night. A stout field of entries is expected including past ASCS National champions Gary Wright and Travis Rilat along with a number of other top National Tour contenders in a preview of the April 29 O'Reilly ASCoT event slated for I-30 Speedway.

The Series: ASCS Mid-South Region

What, When & Where: Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. -- I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, AR.

Track Information: I-30 Speedway is located seven miles southwest of Little Rock off I-30 Exit 126. Track phone: 501-455-4567

The track that hosted the first ever ASCS National Tour event on May 15, 1993, with Mike Ward taking the win, now hosts the inaugural ASCS Mid-South Region event. Three-time ASCS National champion Tim Crawley swept I-30 Speedway's opening weekend of Sprint Car action on March 10 and 11, with defending track champion Pete Butler taking victory honors in last Saturday night's weekly card in Little Rock.

Next Up for the ASCS Mid-South Region:

April 14 Swinging Bridge Raceway (Jackson, MS)
April 15 Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, MS) - $2,000 to win vs. SUPR
