14-years-old and already on top
What were you doing at age 14? I bet you weren't going as fast as Nathan Stacy!

He has iRacing, racing experience and a seat racing in Pirelli World Challenge, but Nathan Stacy can’t yet drive a car out on the street with the general public.
However, that hasn’t stopped him from setting quick times in the Pirelli World Challenge Touring Car B-Spec Championship practice sessions so far this weekend in the No. 14 Motorsports Development Group Ford Fiesta.
Stacy set a time of 1:54.158 in the first practice session and was able to jump up to a 1:52.832 second lap in the second practice session. Very few adjustments had to be made to get him to third fastest in the PWC TCB class.
“Mostly tire pressures, a little bit of setup changes, but not much. A lot of it [the changes] was me,” Stacy said.
Nathan started racing Spec Miatas two years ago and drove at Barber Motorsports Park with the Miata and compared the driving style against the Fiesta.
“It’s a little bit different, you have to change your driving style a little bit with the front wheel drive. The car rotates differently, it drives differently [with front wheel drive],” Stacy explained.
Stacy learned how to drive at Hallett Motor Racing Circuit, about an hour away from his home in Oklahoma before signing with MDG. By learning how to drive and race at the circuit, his driving on the track will have repercussions away from the track when he does get his license.
“Racing makes it where you’re […] able to see things that happen. You’re very focused on the road,” Stacy said.
Since this is the first event for the PWC TCB class, Stacy remains pragmatic about his championship aspirations.
“For me, personally, I think that it would be really cool if I finish this season without bumping any heads with anyone, that’d be really awesome. That’s my goal right now is to just finish the season,” Stacy said.
For the race weekend though, he only has one objective.
“A Win.”
