Transforming a stock 2012 Civic Si Coupe into a competitive race car for the World Challenge is a lot easier than you think.

Professional touring car driver Ryan Eversley has taken on many challenges over the years from his adventures in the 24 Hours of Daytona to landing rides in the SCCA’s World Challenge competition, both series in the Grand-Am Rolex and Continental Tire events, and several American Le Mans Series races.

Hailing from Georgia, Eversley was not far from the Road Atlanta road course, and earning third in the GT Challenge class with Magnus Racing at Petit Le Mans might be listed as one of his most memorable experiences.

His victory at Virginia International Raceway was another one that he will not forget; however now he had an experience that was not on a race track.

Eversley was invited to the Honda Performance Development facility in Santa Clarita, California to work with the HPD engineers on a video to explain to an upcoming driver or team owner how to build a Honda Civic Si Coupe into a competitive race car.

The showroom Civic would be transformed into a touring car for the Pirelli World Challenge and Grand-Am Continental Tire series.

While many non-racers may think that it would be difficult, Eversley and HPD proved it is easier than one thinks. The clear instructions shown in the video will aid any home mechanic, amateur racer, or one who dreams of owning a team into an active participant in motor sports.

Eversley was invited to become an instructor by HPD as he and the Compass360 Racing team visited the well-known facility that builds championship race cars and engines.
