Dollahite fails post-race inspection, handing GTS win to James and Panoz
Scott Dollahite took a commanding victory in Saturday's Pirelli World Challenge GTS at Circuit of the Americas, but his Lotus Evora failed post-race technical inspection.
With Dollahite's disqualification in Round 15, Ian James and the No. 50 Team Panoz Racing Panoz Avezzano GT were awarded the victory.
James started the race from pole position, but lost the top spot to Dollahite at the halfway point of the race. He later fended off a last-lap charge from Chase Parker, who came from the rear of the field.
Parker and the No. 19 Performance Motorsports Group Ginetta G55 team have been moved up to the runner-up position with Rodrigo Baptista taking the final spot on the podium in the No. 3 Flying Lizard Motorsports Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport MR.
