Martin Fuentes continued his dominant season in the Pirelli World Challenge GT-A class during the weekend’s pair of races at Barber Motorsports Park.

With two victories in the no. 07 Scuderia Corsa / HUBLOT Ferrari 458 Italia, Fuentes recorded the 13th and 14th victories in Pirelli World Challenge for the Ferrari 458 Italia.

Fuentes captured pole position for the first race of the weekend. That race, held Saturday morning, saw Fuentes drive his Ferrari out to the front of the field and maintain the lead despite enormous pressure from other GT-A competitors throughout the race. With the battle for the leading coming down to the final lap, Fuentes held on for a narrow victory.

Fuentes started Sunday’s race from the second position. Challenging for the lead throughout the opening lap, Fuentes would settle in second place and record a steady, consistent run. However, in the final two laps of the race, Fuentes was able to take back the lead of the race. With another battle to the line, Fuentes held on to score his seventh straight victory in seven Pirelli World Challenge rounds of the 2016 season.

After yet another weekend sweep, Fuentes has again grown his championship lead in the GT-A category where he enjoys a dominant advantage over his next closest competitor.

The next round of the Pirelli World Challenge will be May 19-22 at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park in Bowmanville , Ontario.
