Road Atlanta: TeamRTR qualifying notes

Cunningham/Nissan on Third Straight Pole

Peter Cunningham's TeamRTR Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V today earned a third consecutive pole position for Friday's SCCA Pro Racing SPEED Touring Car Championship race at Road Atlanta.

Cunningham earned the Air Force Reserve Pole Position with a record average speed of 95.978 miles per hour.

"There are 11 cars qualified within eight-tenths of a second at the top of the grid," Cunningham said. "This is a good start to TeamRTR's weekend in the NISMO Sentra, but tomorrow is what counts."

Cunningham qualified on the pole at the Mosport and Road America races, winning the latter event.

Friday's race takes the green flag at 11:10 a.m. (EDT).
