5 RealTime Acuras Practice at St. Pete
March 31, 2006 -- St. Petersburg, Florida The Acura Certified Pre-Owned Vehicles-sponsored RealTime Acura team completed their first practice laps in this morning's opening session of the SCCA SPEED Touring Car Championship weekend. The competition is taking place on the 1.8-mile St. Petersburg, Fla. temporary circuit on the shores of Old Tampa Bay.
Qualifying will be Saturday at 1pm ET with the race Sunday at 12:45pm. The race broadcast will air on Speed TV Sunday at 4pm ET.
St. Petersburg is the second round of the season and is part of the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg weekend.
Pierre Kleinubing led the RealTime team with the second quickest lap of the session, followed by teammates Eric Curran and Peter Cunningham. Sophomore season driver Brandon Davis was ninth fastest, and Nick Esayian was 11th.
Kleinubing, Cunningham and Davis all race the Acura TSX. Curran and Esayian drive RealTime's Acura RSX models.
The Acura brand celebrated its 20th anniversary last Monday and the RealTime crew are working hard to give its manufacturer a belated birthday present.
