ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (June 20, 2001)-In the first of what may be several forthcoming competition adjustments in the Speedvision World Challenge GT Championship, SCCA Pro Racing has cut the maximum boost pressure on the supercharged Acura NSX.

Campaigned only by RealTime Racing in 2001 thus far, the blown NSX is now restricted to 5psi of boost, down from the previous maximum of 8psi.

"RealTime Racing is a top team, and did everything right when they built this car, and Peter Cunningham is without a doubt one of the top drivers in the series," said Gary Perry, Speedvision World Challenge Technical Director. "However, we feel that an adjustment needed to be made in addition to the weight added thus far this season in order to ensure a level playing field, where any well-prepared car driven to an exemplary level is capable of winning a race."

Additionally, the rev limit on the supercharged NSX has been reduced from 9000 rpm to 8000 rpm. The model previously received 100lb. weight additions following the Sebring and Mosport Rounds.

Two-time World Challenge Champion and all-time wins, podiums, top-fives and top-10s leader Cunningham sits second in the 2001 Speedvision GT point standings, with three wins, one second and four poles in the five events held thus far.
