Bowmanville, Canada -- The Champion Audi/Audi Sport North America racing team will take on the historic 2.4 mile Mosport International Raceway on Sunday, May 21st with two Audi S4's.

Champion Audi took delivery of the second Audi S4 Competition 10-days ago making last year's Touring Champion anxious for this weekend's race. "I am looking forward to driving the car, I haven't yet. Looking at how Derek performed at Charlotte, we should do pretty good. A top 10 finish should not be a problem, but a top 5 would be nice. Mosport is not the most suitable track for the Audi because of the long back straight away," said Michael Galati, driver of the number 9 Audi Sport North America S4.

Derek Bell driving the number 8 Legends of Motorsport/Champion Audi/Audi Sport North America S4 hopes to capitalize on his ninth place finish at the season opener in Charlotte. "Mosport should be a good track for us. The fast turns favor our four wheel drive, however, the slow hairpin at the back of the course and the long up hill straight that follows will definitely favor the big V-8's," said Bell. Derek will once again be offering commentary from the driver's seat of the S4 for the Speedvision telecast.

David Maraj, owner of Champion Audi said, "We have had little opportunity to test the S4 following Charlotte. We are still a little behind where we would like to be. We do have an open test at Mosport and Lime Rock, so we are hoping to get some quality time on the track to better sort-out cars handling."

"The team is coming together. Now that we have the second S4 for Michael we are hoping to double our data gathering and reduce the time involved in getting the cars to the front of the grid," said Rod Bymaster, manager of Audi Sport North America. "We were encouraged by our result at Charlotte, having put less than 10 laps on the car before the green flag dropped. We still need a couple of solid test days to get the car up to its potential."

Audi Sport North America is the motorsports arm of Audi of America, Inc.
