A warm and cloudy Goiânia welcomed the drivers for Brazilian V8 Stock Cars round 10 this Friday. With all the competitors getting to grips with the new surface on the 3.28-km circuit, 22 cars set their best laps within the same second. The fastest among the 29 was former GP2 ace Diego Nunes with the União Química Racing team.

"It is a good start", Nunes stated. "However, we know that it is going to be warmer on qualifying, so we just have to adjust the car to these conditions". He set his best lap in 1min25s264, only 0s103 fastest than Ipiranga-RCM’s Thiago Camilo. Championship leader Felipe Fraga came third with his teammate Marcos Gomes fourth.

Ricardo Zonta, Julio Campos, Galid Osman, Ricardo Maurício, Valdeno Brito and Allam Khodair closed the top-10 with Rubens Barrichello, second on the standings, in 11th place.

The second free practice session takes place this Saturday at 8:15 am (Brazilian time) streamed live on Brazilian V8 Stock Car official YouTube channel (StockCarChannel); qualifying kicks off at noon. Races on Sunday will start at 2 and 3:10 pm.
