Felipe Fraga and Rodrigo Sperafico were the fastest duo during the second free practice this Friday afternoon in Curitiba for the Brazilian V8 Stock Cars season opener. The pair, who won the first edition of the All Star Race back in 2014, completed the best lap of the weekend so far with 1min19s034.

Only 0s051 behind, once more the Chevrolet #21 of Thiago Camilo and Lucas di Grassi. Fastest during the morning, Marcos Gomes and Antonio Pizzonia were third, 0s084 behind their teammates who led the session.

Daniel Serra/Danilo Dirani and Max Wilson/Vitor Meira closed the top-5. With a clean surface and no rain whatsoever, the drivers could show their pace and work better on the improvement and understanding of the cars. The result: 22 cars within the same second.

Saturday features a 40-minute free practice for the pairings, and then qualifying takes place at 12’o clock (local time). In an hour, four groups go to the track to try their flying laps during 10 minutes each; the first two, the regular drivers who finished the season between first and 16th places, then from 17th to the last. Afterwards, for groups three and four, the same order, but with the invited drivers. The fastest lap of each driver in the duo will set an average, and that will define the grid positions for the All Star Race, 12:30 this Sunday.
