Current series leader Andrew Miedecke, driving a Chev Monte Carlo has posted the fastest time and will start the first of three races constituting round four of the championship, from pole position.

His time of 1 minute 30.7606 seconds easily bettered the second fastest car, the Pontiac Grand Prix of Mark Harrison by 1.4 seconds.

Harrison was just a fraction quicker than the second starting row pair of Barry Blake and Richard Howe in their respective Chev and Ford Thunderbird. Former Porsche, GTP and touring car driver Rusty French was fifth fastest in another Chev, half a second quicker than the similar machine of Tony Southwell, Bob Middleton (Chev), Doug Moss (Pontiac), Nigel Benson (Chev) and John Woodlands (Pontiac).
