INDIANAPOLIS(September 27, 2001) - Confident after the his Memphis debut, Chris Shultz returns to familiar territory at Indianapolis Raceway Park. Shultz competed regularly at IRP during his career in USAC midgets, setting the track record on the .686 mile oval in 1997. "The #04 Monte Carlo is primed and ready for this race and with my experience at this track, we are confident we will improve upon our Memphis debut and build for 2002." stated Shultz.

Indianapolis based ASI, Limited along with The Leukemia and Lymphnoma Society again will sponsor the #04 Monte Carlo. ASI, Limited will also be introduced at IRP as the "OFFICIAL GLASS AND GLAZING SUPPLIER OF THE ASA HEADQUARTERS BUILDING". This title will be carried throughout the 2002 ASA season. ASA officials will wave the green flag for the final time in the 2001 season this Saturday, September 29. The National Network (TNN) will broadcast the race live from Indianapolis Raceway Park at 7:00 p.m. EST.
