ANDERSON, Ind. (Sept. 20, 2004) -- Jim Crabtree Jr. led every lap of the Sunoco 150 to get the second Sunoco Super Series victory of his career. The event was held at Anderson Speedway, the famed midwestern short oval.
Goodyear is the exclusive tire supplier for the Sunoco Super Series and provides the Goodyear Performance Awards. The Goodyear Performance Awards for the Anderson race were awarded to Junior Hanley and Tim Phillips.
Bobby Parsley finished second to the winner and challenged Crabtree several times. Chris Gabehart finished third, Junior Hanley was fourth and Kenny Tweedy took fifth.
Chuck Barnes Jr., who started the race with the lead in the championship standings, finished 17th and held on the top spot. However, Hanley's finish closed him to within two points of Barnes. There are three races remaining in the 2004 schedule.
Scott Hantz, who had won the previous two Super Series races, was running third late in the race when he crashed.
