DAYTONA BEACH, FL (January 27, 2004) - Twenty-seven IPOWERacing DASH Series Teams made the trip to Daytona for the annual winter test session this past weekend.
Among them were twelve rookies making their first appearance at Daytona and several are newcomers to the Series.
"We are seeing a influx of new interest in the IPOWERacing DASH Series," says Randy Claypoole, Executive Vice President for IPOWER.
"For the fans, the first thing they think when they see teams selling equipment is that everyone is jumping ship. That is just not the case. The business end of this series was at a virtual standstill for two years with the future of the series up in the air. Now that the teams are beginning to see a clear direction they are building new cars, buying engines, and new teams are picking up the older cars so they can go racing and be apart of all the excitement," Claypoole adds.
"We all have our work cut out for us, but the details are coming together and the stage is set with our first race in just a couple of weeks."
