(Elk Mound, WI - April 22, 2002) Jimmy Mars rolled back into national short-track action this past weekend registering a pair of top-five finishes in a special double-header stop at Lancaster, SC.

Mars capped the weekend off with a 3rd place run in the Saturday night 'SpeedSportsBook.com 50" at Lancaster Motor Speedway following a fourth place finish in the Friday night 30 lap preliminary action as part of his championship bid on the United Dirt Track Racing Association (UDTRA) 2002 national tour. In overall national action this season Jimmy Mars has raced to an impressive 7 top-five finishes, 9 top-tens and a pole award to go with his earlier season win at East Bay Raceway in Tampa, Florida.

Jimmy Mars can be seen in action this week during the UDTRA Pro DirtCar Series premier of SPEED Channel's "Dirty Thursday" this Thursday night at 11 p.m. ET with taped coverage of the tour's recent event from Glenmora, LA.

This weekend Jimmy Mars Racing will put their MasterSbilt/ Pro Power Engines Chevrolet Monte Carlo back to the test in another UDTRA double-header with a Friday night (April 26) stop at Lavonia, GA then on to Thunder Valley Speedway in Lawndale, NC for Saturday night (April 27).
