WEBB, WILSON LEAD LIL' TEXAS ACTION
FORT WORTH (June 4, 2005) - Jordan Webb continued his undefeated season march at Lil' Texas Motor Speedway in Bandolero racing action Saturday night while Nathan Wilson earned his third Legends Semi-Pro victory in the last four races at the banked, asphalt oval. Other winners included Gene Conley (Legends Masters) and Randy Miles (Thunder Roadsters).
Webb and year-long rival Jake Kruger squared off the Bandolero main event with Kruger at the point until lap 11 when Webb moved by in lapped traffic. Kruger finished second ahead of Floridian Gerald White Jr.
Wilson's Legends Semi-Pro triumph came at the expense of Brennan Poole and James Buescher who tangled while battling for the lead with a little more than one lap remaining. The tangle sent Poole to the rear of the field and eliminated Buescher. Michael Hoffman finished second ahead of Kris Turner who grabbed the Semi-Pro season point lead with her finish.
Conley took the lead on the second lap from Don Brown and ran to his second victory of the summer campaign at Lil' Texas. Don Barnard finished second ahead of Legends Pro driver Michael Dabney.
Miles moved around Justin Long for the lead on the second lap of the Thunder Roadster feature then held off Mike Carter and Long to the checkered flag. The win was Miles' fourth of the season.
Friday and Saturday's noon programs at Lil' Texas Motor Speedway as part of the Bombardier Learjet 500 week will be free to all spectators in the grandstand. Legends Cars, Bandoleros and Thunder Roadsters will compete. For more information call Lone Star Legends at (817) 255-6000.
