1. Introducing the Officials of the ASALMS Southern Division for the 2007 season.

Lexington, Michigan (03/14/2007): The Door Opener for the 2007 Racing Season in the ASA Late Model Series Presented by GM Performance Parts Southern Division is upcoming in Bronson, Florida this weekend. The cars and stars of the ASALMS Southern Division will kick off their 2007 season in the series "Where Champions Race" in the bright sunlight and warm temperatures of the Sunshine State.

This Friday and Saturday March 16-17, 2007 the fast 0.333 Mile High-Banked Paved Oval of the Bronson (FL) Motor Speedway, located West of Gainesville in Bronson, Florida will serve as hosts for the Camp Boggy Creek 100 Presented by Pennzoil, Dalton Zehr Racing, and FLF Racecars. A record car count for the ASALMS South is expected as 40 entries have been received (As of Wednesday March 14, 2007) at the ASALMS home offices in Lexington, Michigan.

There will be plenty of new faces, new drivers, and new tracks once again for the 2007 season in the ASALMS Southern Division. With that in mind, we'd like to introduce to the fans of the ASALMS, the officials of the ASALMS Southern Division. Here is a capsule look at the fine folks who will all help make the ASALMS South events run smoothly throughout the 2007 season:

2. Camp Boggy Creek to be a part of the 2007 ASA Late Model Series Southern Division Season Opener in Bronson, Florida.

Lexington, Michigan (03/14/2007): The ASA Late Model Series Presented by GM Performance Parts Southern Division is preparing for the first race of the 2007 season. The Camp Boggy Creek 100 Presented by Pennzoil, Dalton Zehr Racing, and FLF Racecars. The 2007 Door opener is set for this Friday and Saturday March 16-17, 2007 at the Bronson (FL) Motor Speedway, located West of Gainesville in Bronson, Florida.

The ASALMS is very happy to welcome Camp Boggy Creek, the title sponsor for the ASALMS Southern Divisions first race of the season. During the weekend festivities, ASALMS Drivers will be conducting the traditional ASALMS Autograph Session on the front stretch as well as helping Camp Boggy Creek by conducting a helmet pass through the grandstands in support of this great cause.

"We're so very honored and very happy to help out such a wonderful organization as Camp Boggy Creek and we certainly want to put on a great show for the kids as well." Stated ASALMS Co-Founder/President, Sandy Varney. "This is such a worthwhile cause and we sincerely feel privileged that we can help in any way that we can." She added.

Camp Boggy Creek was established in 1990 at a cost of $23 million dollars. The facility sits on 232 acres with 44 total buildings including 16 camper cabins, dining hall, medical center, swim center, stable and little farm, sports and recreation center, arts and crafts center, creative arts center and theater.

3. 17-year-old Devan Hall looks to make a run for the ASALMS Southern Division Rookie of the Year title in 2007.

Leesburg, Georgia (03/14/2007): The ASA Late Model Series Presented by GM Performance Parts In a series chock full of rising teenage super stars who hope to make their mark in the world of stock car racing. The Final Top Five in both the ASALMS Southern Division Overall and Rookie of the Year Points Standings were all drivers 18 years old and younger.

One driver hopes to be at least one of those drivers with the word "teen" in his age to finish in the Top Five in 2007. For the upcoming 2007 season beginning in Bronson, Florida this weekend; 17-year-old Devan Hall will make a run for the ASALMS Southern Division Rookie of the Year title.

His quest for the coveted Freshman title begins this Friday and Saturday March 16-17, 2007 in the running of the Camp Boggy Creek 100 Presented by Pennzoil, Dalton Zehr Racing, and FLF Racecars at the 0.333 Mile High-Banked Paved Oval of the Bronson (FL) Motor Speedway, located West of Gainesville in Bronson, Florida.

"I'm looking forward to this year in the ASALMS Southern Division. We ran well in both of the ASALMS races that we participated in last year and hope to continue our streak of good finishes this year." Remarked Hall as his Hall Racing Team makes final preparations for the 2007 ASALMS Southern Division Season Opener in the Sunshine State.

4. Cody Smith ready for second go-around within the ASA Late Model Series. This time in the Southern Division.

La Vernia, Texas (03/14/2007): Native Texan Cody Smith may be headed out of state but there will be some familiarity with his next race; The season-opener of the ASA Late Model Series Southern Division in Bronson, Florida.

Smith, who ran well before falling victim to a crash in front of him and finishing a disappointing 22nd March 3 at nearby San Antonio Speedway, will try to turn his luck at this Saturday's Camp Boggy Creek 100 Presented by Pennzoil, Dalton Zehr Racing, and FLF Racecars at the Bronson Motor Speedway.

The 0.333-mile, high-banked asphalt track reminds Smith Family Racing team owner Tom Smith of two tracks with which his 17-year-old son is very familiar. "From what I can tell, Bronson Motor Speedway reminds me of a cross between Thunder Hill Raceway (Kyle, Texas) and Houston Motorsports Park," stated Smith. "The track's configuration reminds me a lot of Thunder Hill and the track has the high banking of Houston Motorsports Park. It's a track that has a configuration Cody's familiar with, so we expect good results from this one."

The younger Smith, a junior at La Vernia High School, ran at Thunder Hill Raceway two years ago on his way to the track's Hobby Stock class championship. The talented youngster then ran at both THR and Houston Motorsports Park last year as he grabbed the Rookie of the Year Award (and runnerup championship) in the Texas Super Racing Series, his first year to drive a late model.

5. RacingJunk.com's $55,000 Sponsorship Giveaway continues.

North Adams, Massachusetts (03/14/2007): RacingJunk.com, online classified service provider of the ASA Late Model Series, is giving away $55,000 in sponsorships in the "Give Back to the Racers Tour 2007." The announcement, made at the Performance Racing Industry's (PRI) annual trade show in Orlando, Florida in December by Jim Liberatore, Chairman of the Board of Raceway Media and former CEO of Speed TV, is exciting news for racers across the country.

"Finding sponsors is a real challenge for grassroots racers," said Liberatore, "it's an expensive sport and we get sponsorship requests all the time. We are thrilled to be able to offer this program as a way to show our appreciation for their continued support."

"Give Back to the Racers Tour 2007" will feature a weekly giveaway of $1,000 that began on March 1, 2007 and will be running for 30 consecutive weeks. Each week, a winner will be randomly selected from among the qualified entries. Each of the 30 weekly winners will be entered to win the Grand Prize, a $15,000 sponsorship.

RacingJunk members will vote for their favorite car and driver to determine the winner. In addition to the Grand Prize, two runners-up will also receive cash prizes, with $7,500 awarded for second place and $2,500 for third. The three winners will be flown to PRI 2007 and awarded their prizes at a special ceremony.
