LAS VEGAS -- The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway will welcome back its most distinguished graduate this Saturday night.

Las Vegan Kurt Busch, driver of the No. 99 Exide Ford in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, is scheduled to sign autographs and be the guest announcer Saturday night at The Bullring at LVMS. Busch is a former LVMS Legends and Grand American Modified competitor who moved to Michigan early this year to drive for Roush Racing.

Busch, the 1999 NASCAR Featherlite Southwest Series champion, is currently fourth in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series championship standings. He has a commanding lead on the race for rookie of the year in that division. He is also the first rookie in series history to record back-to-back wins when he won at Milwaukee and Loudon, N.H. His two wins this season equal the all-time rookie record established in 1997 by the late Kenny Irwin Jr.

The Bullring at LVMS will host Exide Night at the Races along with the NASCAR Weekly Racing Series. The evening includes Bandoleros, Mini Stocks, Chargers, Hitchin' Post/ Exiss Legends Cars and NASCAR Late Models. The Grand American Modifieds will compete in two main events.

Saturday is also Back to School Night at The Bullring at LVMS. Kids have a chance to win great prizes including three-ring binders and book covers with NASCAR drivers on the covers.

Gates open at 5 p.m. with racing at 7. Admission is $8 for adults, $6 for seniors and military and $2 for children 6-12. Children five and under are free. The Family Four Pack is $25. The Strip at LVMS will host Friday Night Drags. High school and import drivers will compete in bracket eliminations, while other racers will have an open test-n-tune and gambler elimination with a $10 buy-in. Entry fee for Friday Night Drags is $15 for car and driver and $10 for crewmembers. High School students can compete for $10 with a valid I.D.

Gates are set to open Friday at 5 p.m. with racing from 6 to 11.
