St. Amant, Bullet Racing All JEG'ed Up for 2005

Longs, SC-It's hard to imagine that anything could make Gary St. Amant smile any wider, but today's news just may.

Bullet Racing announced that JEGS.com would serve as primary sponsor for the No. 11 Chevrolet driven by Gary St. Amant in the Northern Division of the Hooters Pro Cup Series.

"It feels great," said St. Amant. "I felt like my days as a driver were numbered a few years ago, so it almost feels like a second life. JEGS.com coming on board as a primary sponsor definitely fills out the some of the puzzle for us. Having JEGS.com is really going to help our team. We're going to add some new team members, and we're going to be title contenders."

Even with JEGS.com as an associate sponsor, St. Amant was a legitimate threat to win each week during the 2004 season. During his inaugural season in Pro Cup, the short-track veteran picked up one win, 10 top-five and 11 top-10 finishes 17 starts. With a season of Pro Cup competition under his belt and added support from JEGS.com, those numbers could improve in 2005.

"I think we're going to be better in our second year," said St. Amant. "But everybody else is going to have another year under their belts as well. It's going to be tough to win against guys like Benny Gordon, Jeff Agnew and Johnny Rumley, but I think it's going to be a great year for us."
