Hampton & Pletcher Ready for Sear Auto Center 150
DLP Team Looking to Continue South Boston Momentum at The Milwaukee Mile:

Mike Hampton and David "Buggy" Pletcher are looking to build on the momentum from their 4th place finish in the Miller Lite 250 at South Boston Speedway during the running of the Sear Auto Center 150 being held at The Milwaukee Mile on May 31st. There are a number of factors that make this event a very important one for Mike and the entire DLP Motorsports team. The event takes on the competitive nature of a Championship event since it will combine the Greased Lightning Southern Division and the Sears Auto Center Northern Division with approximately 50 teams entered at this historic facility. For the first time in USAR Pro Cup history, the race will be a companion to the June 1st Indy Racing League event so the pit area will include many important names in the racing industry. Additionally, Mike will be cheered on by over 175 guests of Eaton Corporation and his focus will be to post a career best finish for these VIP customers. "I want this to be a race to remember for Eaton's customers", said Mike Hampton from the DLP race shop in Mooresville, NC. "Buggy knows how to build fast race cars and I plan to be Up On the Wheel from the time we unload our #31n Ford Fusion sponsored by Eaton Corporation".

It has been a very busy time since the April 18th event at South Boston for Mike and Buggy. Mike had to complete final exams at UNC-C where he is a senior majoring in Business Administration and Marketing. With school completed for the summer, Buggy and Mike have been at a short track event every weekend fielding cars for others and working closely together building chemistry and teamwork. Good performance on the race track is the product of hard work in the race shop and there have been plenty of long days in the shop preparing the USAR Pro Cup cars for the Milwaukee event. Other key members of the DLP Motorsports team looking forward to the Sear Auto Center 150 include John "Digger" Gunther, Brian "Hoggy" Fischer, Teddy Musgrave Jr., Jeremy Browser, and Brian Murphy. On May 21st, Mike participated in a Customer Appreciation event at Jo-Kell, Inc. in Chesapeake, VA. Over 150 customers and employees discussed racing with Mike and took a close look at the #31n Ford Fusion sponsored by Eaton Corporation. They wished Mike good luck in the Milwaukee Mile event and their support is appreciated.
