Logan Ruffin and Turner Motorsports Head to Rockingham for Their Second USARacing Pro Cup Series Race Together

The 15-Year-Old Driver Will Pilot the No. 31 Wolfpack Rentals Chevrolet

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (October 7, 2009) -- Logan Ruffin and Turner Motorsports, LLC will head to the legendary Rockingham Speedway this weekend looking to capture a solid top-five finish. Even though this will only be Ruffin's second career USARacing Pro Cup Series start and his encore performance with the Turner Motorsports team, all parties involved are confident that their goal can be reached, in addition to having a shot at driving the No. 31 Wolfpack Rentals Chevrolet into Victory Lane.

Three weeks ago at Iowa Speedway, Ruffin made his USARacing Pro Cup Series debut in the Turner Motorsports entry, which added to the impressive resume that the 15-year-old has accumulated in his short but successful career. The Brentwood, Tennessee native was plagued with numerous problems in the Midwestern state, including a blown right front tire with 67 laps remaining, causing the Wolfpack Rentals Chevrolet to slam into the outside wall and catch on fire when the fuel pump ruptured. Ruffin, who was running in the seventh-place when the problem occurred, was unharmed and ended his day in the 13th position.

"Our goal this weekend is to definitely leave Rockingham with a top-five finish," said Ruffin. "It is only our second start together but we are all very positive and think it is definitely achievable. Of course, we would love to go out there and win the race. One of my personal goals has been to beat Joey Logano's Pro Cup record, where he won in only his second series start. I can only tie it now, since we didn't get the victory in Iowa, but I think if we have a little luck, we just might be able to pull it off."

Ruffin and his Turner Motorsports team headed to Rockingham last week for a test session at the one-mile speedway. Overall, the session was very helpful and productive for the pairing, giving an optimistic outlook to everyone associated with the team.

"The test at Rockingham last week was very successful," Ruffin continued. "I think racing at a track like Rockingham is going to help me as a driver, as I'm still learning some of these bigger racetracks. It just has so much history in it and is a very seasoned track. Since so many races have run on that surface, the asphalt has become harder and that characteristic is going to make me a better driver. If my Wolfpack Rentals team and I can leave on Saturday night with a positive finish after what happened in Iowa, it will be a very successful weekend."
