Rogers Looks for Three in a Row This Weekend at Myrtle Beach Speedway

Concord, NC (June 15, 2009) -- The USARacing Pro Cup Series is heading back to Myrtle Beach Speedway this weekend, June 20th for the Grand Strand 250 presented by Blacks Tire Service. Clay Rogers comes into the fifth race of the season as not only the point leader, but as the only two-time winner so far this season.

"We've had a lot of success here at Myrtle Beach Speedway. It really is a difficult track though. You have to conserve your car for the first 90% of the race; it's pretty challenging mentally. You have to really take care of the equipment," explained Rogers.

Rogers has won the last two events in the Pro Cup series and took the point lead when he won the HAMPTON VIRGINIA 250 presented by Racing Electronics back in May. He was able to pad his lead in the points after dominating the Lucas Oil 200 two weeks ago at Winchester Speedway. After a couple of rough finishes at the start of the season, the C&C Boiler Services crew seems to really be putting the pieces together.

"We really haven't had that bad of a year so far. I think we've led the most laps so far this season and we've been extremely competitive," commented Rogers on his start to the 2009 season. "I really don't see why we can't go to Myrtle Beach and not be competitive again. We've been making changes from last year to compliment my driving style, and honestly all year, we've just been fine tuning during practice and testing. We really haven't had a bad car yet. The whole team has just been working so hard and it seems to be paying off."

In conjunction with the USARacing Pro Cup Series race at Myrtle Beach Speedway on June 20th, BTS will host its ninth annual Black's Tire Service Boys and Girls Homes Benefit Golf Tournament to be held at the Myrtle Beach National Championship Golf Course on Friday, June 19, 2009. Registration is set to begin at 8:15am and Tee Off begins at 10:00am. Black's Tire Service (BTS Tire & Wheel Distributor) provides primary sponsorship to current Pro Cup Series driver, Drew Herring, and the No. 22s team.

You can catch all of the Pro Cup Series' stars at Myrtle Beach Speedway in Myrtle Beach, SC on Saturday, June 20, 209 for the Grand Strand 250 presented by Black's Tire and Auto Service. The on-track autograph session begins at 6:00pm and the green flag waves at 7:30pm. For ticket information visit www.myrtlebeachspeedway.com or call 910.205.8800.
