USARacing and Fox Sports Net (FSN) Develops Timeslot for 2009
Concord, N.C. (June 25, 2009) -- (FSN) has developed a ten (10) week series of 30-minute television program highlighting the greatest racing in America. The USARacing Pro Cup Series (formally the Hooters Pro Cup Series) is scheduled to begin on Sunday morning, July 5, 2009 at 11:00AM, and run for ten (10) consecutive weeks. This schedule will allow fans the knowledge that the series will be aired on consecutive weeks for the regular season and again for the four-race championship run.
The final four (4) events of the season will be covered in an expanded one (1) hour format that promises to bring some of the most exciting racing available into the homes of the automotive racing enthusiasts. The first of the one hour programs will be seen on four consecutive weeks, Sunday mornings at 11:30AM, beginning November 8, 2009.
The fourteen-race schedule will be carried on a tape-delayed basis nationwide on the Fox Sports Network (FSN). The series will begin with the season opener, Concord 250 from Concord Speedway in Concord, NC.
"While our events will once again be on a tape-delayed basis, the scheduling of a ten-week airing followed by the four week Championship series will help up build us to build a steady audience," said USARacing's Managing Partner, Larry Camp. "This should increase the ratings and put us in a position for an expanded audience in years to come."
Masters TV of Bristol, TN, will produce the programs which will feature action covered by four on-track cameras, five in-car cameras and one in-pit camera.
"The USARacing Pro Cup series features some of the best side by side racing you'll ever see", Butch McCall noted. "We are extremely pleased to bring this series to the Fox Sports Network (FSN), he added.
