Joins Lexus Team SARD for Motegi 250 KM

Carlo van Dam races in Super GT-final

Motegi - Dutch racing driver Carlo van Dam will this coming weekend join Lexus Team SARD for the eighth and final round of the 2010 Japanese Super GT-championship, held at the Motegi-circuit.

Carlo tested the SARD Lexus SC430 (pictured) earlier this month, standing in for Andre Couto, one of the team's two regular drivers. Andre will not be at Motegi this weekend either, so that he can be with his son, who is receiving serious treatment at a hospital in Portugal. Carlo: "My thoughts are of course with Andre and his family. I am grateful for the faith the team has put in me and I will try to do the best job possible." At grm-co.com/en/news/ the statement of SARD can be found.

For the 250 kilometre long Super GT-race at Motegi, Carlo will join Kohei Hirate in the SARD-Lexus SC430 that races in the GT500-class, the category for the fastest cars competing in what is Japan's premier racing series. END
