Having started the race seventh due to the reverse grid that came into force, he was virtually unstoppable and garnered a win after his second place at the Madras Motor Race Track on Saturday.

This was the second race during the MRF MMSC FMSCI Indian National Racing Championship.

Jeet Jhabakh was in second place, 13.6 seconds behind. Dhruv Mohite, A Sandeep Kumar and Bangladesh’s Tauhid Anwar finished in the next three places in that order.

Pole position man Rohit Goyal could not hold on to the first place. Donovan Vaz took the lead in the first lap itself. Jhabakh moved to the second spot, while Karminder moved up to third.

Vaz took the lead by about a second and had moved ahead of the pack. But at the back, there was a lot of shuffling and competition for the second place.

After three laps, Vaz was leading Jhabakh and Karminder. Mohite was in the fourth position.

There was no way Karminder would want to settle for second best. In the fourth lap, he took the lead and relegated Vaz to second. Mohite moved up to the third spot.

Jhabakh was also on the charge and took up the second place, pushing Vaz to third.

Meanwhile, Karminder was putting up a heady pace and was ahead by 4.8 seconds after the completion of six laps.

Karminder and Jhabakh were alone but behind, it was Vaz, Sandeep, Mohite and Bandyopadhyay battling it out.

After the action of the initial few laps, things began to settle down and Karminder still kept the lead by a handsome margin.

By the end of the 10th lap, Karminder was ahead by 7.8s, with Jhabakh approximately three seconds behind. The rest of the field remained the same.

After 13 laps, Karminder was 10.9 seconds ahead of Jhabakh, with Mohite third.

With Karminder having done all the hard work, it was a foregone conclusion that he would take the race win easily.
